Goole Grammar School 1940

I hope that someone may be able to help me identify the people on these two photos of Goole Grammar School.

They were taken in 1940 and although I can recognise a few of the staff, it was quite some years later before I became a GGS pupil.

Don't forget that if you click on the picture it will enlarge so you can see the faces clearly.

  1. On the staff photo - second from the left, back row, Angus Turner; third from the left, front row, Miss Coghlan. Both taught me when I was at GGS 1957-1964.

  2. John Drury commented [ I have moved this comment from another page]

'My father Edmund Drury is the person wearing glasses in the front row of the Goole Grammar School senior pupils 1940 photo. He later joined the RAF and went on to have a career in the civil service, sadly passing away in 1996'
